The company's CEO, Hari Menon, emphasized the changing buying habits and increasing average order values on quick-commerce platforms.


It highlights the potential for profitability in the quick-commerce sector, Menon expressed confidence in significant investments in the industry and the commercial viability of the model. Bigbasket's quick-commerce arm, BB Now, leverages existing infrastructure to ensure quick deliveries and is aiming for profitability within six months.


With the competitive landscape including players like Zepto, Blinkit, Dunzo, and Swiggy Instamart, maintaining a focus on cost efficiency is crucial for companies in the hyper-competitive quick-commerce space. Bigbasket's strategy involves optimizing dark stores and average order values to drive profitability.
