Apple's CEO Tim Cook had approached engineers to develop a foldable device as early as 2018, but the work was paused in 2020. However, the project has been kickstarted again recently. Apple is reportedly trying to discover many compelling features for the new foldable devices.
But, don't get too excited just yet. The report states that a foldable iPhone won't be available soon, as it's not in Apple's mass production plans for 2024 or 2025. Nonetheless, Apple has approached at least one manufacturer in Asia about procuring components related to the two iPhones of different sizes.
