With the Lens in Maps feature, users can point their cameras on a street to instantly access information about nearby restaurants and cafes, including details such as opening hours, ratings, reviews, and photos.
In addition to this, Google has introduced a series of AI-driven features to improve the app's overall user experience. One notable addition is the Address Descriptors feature, which identifies up to five relevant landmarks and area names surrounding the pinned address when a user drops a location pin and shares it.

Google is set to introduce Live View walking navigation in India, which superimposes arrows, directions, and distance markers on the Maps screen, helping users to navigate easily. This feature will be available on Android devices in more than 3000 cities and towns across India.
Moreover, Google has also extended the Where Is My Train app to include Mumbai and Kolkata Local Trains, with plans to expand it to other cities in the future. Google Maps has always aimed to organize information about the real-world and make it accessible and useful for everyone. The integration of AI-driven features in the app has made it more comprehensive, up-to-date, and helpful.
