Is Spotify's new music videos feature the next big thing in online music streaming?
Spotify, one of the popular digital music services has recently announced the launch of a new feature that allows users to watch full-screen music videos directly from the Spotify app, similar to the feature currently offered by Google's YouTube. However, this feature is in beta and only available to Spotify Premium subscribers. The feature can be accessed via the Now Playing screen on the Spotify app.

According to the company, the new feature has been designed to offer fans a more immersive experience and a new connection point with their favourite artists. The beta version of the Spotify app with the music videos feature has been released in select markets, including the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Brazil, Colombia, Philippines, Indonesia, and Kenya. However, the company plans to expand the catalogue of music videos and increase availability to more countries.

To watch music videos on Spotify, users must open the Spotify app on their Android, iOS, desktop, or TV application and ensure they have a Spotify Premium subscription.
Then, they can play a track and select the “Switch to Video" toggle on the supported music track, which will prompt the music video to start playing from the beginning. Users can also watch the video in full-screen mode by turning their mobile device to landscape mode.
