Why People Consider Job As A Significant Part Of Life?
It is based on what mindset you have about work. Some prefer business and some do jobs in a decent company.
Are you satisfied with what you have right now?
We are human and our tendency is endless desire until we die. Most of us want something different, some more. More satisfaction or more money, more respect, and more than others. Want to have more time for themselves and their interests beyond how they spend their professional lives. They want to have more time for themselves and their interests beyond how they spend. Our desires have no limit and if they don't get we start to worry about it. Never receive the satisfaction they seek.
Ample people get worried about what they seek. They have families and mortgages or rent and multiple loans and all the other financial crises consumed their lives. Buy a luxury house and not even use the room because you spend half of your life paying the debt. People in their early 20 and late 60s do not navigate their problems by understanding the concept of life.
They’ve been working for 30 years but never had the chance to save for retirement. They have a disability but don’t want to disclose that to their employer for fear of reprisal. They want to bring attention to a terrible wrong but are their family’s breadwinners.
During the global pandemic, people got addicted to working from home when they found absolute comfort. They want the flexibility to enjoy both working from home and spending time in the office for learning something too. Our life is full of different circumstances, but most of us are happy with the same stark reality. We don't have much control over our professional portion as we want or need and deserve. A lot of time, we are stuck. With this frustration, we might be able to leave a terrible job or rude boss, but what is the guarantee you will get everything perfect after leaving?
The luckiest among us who love their job, who feel productive and motivated, respected and well-compensated. They do not easily get burned out and leave work on the table. This is exceptional.
A new year holds opportunity, a fresh start, and a time to change. But most of us are returning to the same old jobs where we will deal with the same old frustrations. I love giving advice but the real challenge in being your work friend is that few people are in positions to realistically make the changes that would improve their professional lives. There’s too much at stake.
At the beginning of the year, most of people rush back to the same old jobs where they do the same thing in the same routine. Yes, they should quit their job. Yes, they should call out the overbearing colleague who steals their ideas and talks over everyone.
Of course, you should make the risky, terrifying choices with absolutely no guarantee of success. But what we should do and what we can do are two different things.
Taking risks is crucial to achieving something, making tough decisions with absolutely no guarantee of success, just go all in. You might call yourself a workaholic - overextended and overcommitted. Though, your time is limited and set for activities. Also, need to take care of yourself which nobody talks about. You are ambitious but it is not your responsibility.
Your "why" must be clear in life
Eventually, will you remember what you were living for?
