One Sure-fire Way To Improve Productivity: 90/90 Rules for Minimalist

A few years ago, I am a different kind of person when it comes to work and productivity. I was not a very lazy person.

But, because of some reason, my daily productivity was not good enough.

It’s not surprising to me. Because,

I get distracted every time I work on something.

I wake up at 8.00 a.m. But, I leave my bed at about 8.45 a.m. You know what the reason is.

I work on multiple things at the same time. But, I understood I waste lots of time.

You know how it feels like when you can’t hold your attention when you’re in the lectures. These are just a few.

Enough!

One day I thought of changing my daily routine.

The thing I need to change is my morning.

Because I knew that, to change my day; I want to change my morning.

It was tough to set a work ethic and discipline. All I wanted was to make a strict morning routine.

And It was proven by scientific research as well.

So, I did some research, and I figured out something simple. I didn’t expect that thing to have that much power.

Because we often mis-confuse these two different terms; basic and simple.

By the way, the thing I discovered is a productivity principle from Author Robin Sharma. It’s called,

“ The 90/90/1 Rule "

It’s pretty simple, like any great rule.

For the next 90 days, spend the first 90 minutes of your workday on the single most important thing of your life/day.

That’s it.

Without over-explaining this rule, I’m gonna tell you how I adjusted my day by forcing this principle.

Instead of scrolling through social media, I wake up full of gratitude and head towards tackling my morning routine. It gives me dopamine and makes me gleeful all the time. I avoid multi-tasking. Just devote myself to one important thing at a time. And I don't forget to turn my playlist to change my mood and that keeps me the whole day happy and productive.

Also, I take my refreshments to my table. So I don’t have to move away.

Why single-tasking? Because, when we multitask, we have to shift our focus towards different tasks.

According to verified sources, when we set our focus again, it takes about 20 minutes according to sources. It’s a waste of time.

So focus is the key here. For 1.5 times, you need to lock your focus and hide the key from distractions.

That’s how I use this. And you can do this too.

Only you? No. Your friends also need this. So,

Try this. Share this idea with your friends. Let’s make each other’s daily lives better.
