Tim Cook Announces Game-Changing Apple Sports App: Real-Time Scores at Your Fingertips

Apple has recently launched a new Sports app for iPhone users in the US, UK, and Canada. This app is designed to provide sports fans with real-time scores, statistics, and betting odds.

The free app does not come with any ads and it is accessible from the lock screen. The app's initial version covers popular leagues, including MLS, NBA, NHL, Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Ligue 1, and Series A.

Apple has also announced that future updates will include another prominent leagues such as MLF, NFL, NWSL, and WNBA.

Apple's senior vice president of Services, Eddy Cue, explained that the company developed the Sports app to provide fans with a fast and easy way to stay up-to-date with their favourite teams and leagues. The app allows users to stream their favourite league directly sending them to Apple TV Plus or other streaming services.

However, some third-party apps like MLB's own app have been displaying live scores on a user's lock screen for a while, Apple's new Sports app is claimed to be a simpler and faster way to access scores and stats. Apple CEO Tim Cook also expressed his excitement about the new app, noting that it'll make following favourite teams and leagues fast.
