Meta has recently introduced a new feature called "Communities" on Messenger.

This feature allows community admins to add up to 5,000 members without requiring them to be part of the same Facebook group. It was initially launched on WhatsApp in 2022 and is now available to all Messenger users.

The "Communities" feature is designed to allow public conversations and is now particularly beneficial for organisations, schools, and private groups, providing a more organized and structured way for them to interact. Other Meta's platform messengers such as Facebook groups, and communities on Messager do not offer the same features and follow different private guidelines.

Additionally, Meta has introduced an AI chatbot called Meta AI for WhatsApp business accounts in India and several other countries. This chatbot is aimed at helping businesses assist their customers and discover new products.

Furthermore, Meta has launched its Verified program for WhatsApp business app users in India, Brazil, Indonesia, and Colombia, offering enhanced account support and the ability to use WhatsApp across multiple devices for employees. Verified businesses will receive a blue checkmark next to the business name on the WhatsApp Channel.
